At On Hand Digital, our philosophy is to tread lightly and reduce our carbon footprint.

Naturally we recommend and use papers with high post consumer waste (recycled) content, as well as FSC certified papers from sustainable forests.
But we’ve taken it a step further, making the commitment to become 100% wind powered by the Klondike II Wind Farm near the Columbia River.

Digital printing on demand generates less waste than traditional printing both during the printing process and throughout the product life cycle. Most printers recycle their waste, and that’s good. But why create waste in the first place? Traditional presses require a start-up cycle called “make ready”, using hundreds of press sheets, to get the press up to correct color and image quality. This process generates millions of tons of waste per year. Digital Printing can accomplish the same result in ONE sheet of paper!
Industry sources agree that over 33% of all traditional (long run) printed materials are eventually discarded due to damage or obsolescence. Reduce waste and realize true cost savings by printing only what you need, when you need it.
